I changed my mind with regard to finish. After I put a wash coat of shellac on the pore filled back and sides I noticed that the instrument has
an older time feel to it. So I decided to apply a French polish finish.
I like doing FP as each night you can leave the instrument looking better than the night before. Also no Blue tint!
I am getting very close. I need to wait a few day to let the finish set, but I have finished the French Polishing. I should be able to get the
bridge glued on this weekend and start setting it up.

I had the best morning with some good music playing methodically
fretting the fret board. I have to start cooking diner, but if I get a couple of hours
in the afternoon I can set her up.

I strung her up today. It does sound good. Still like a Ukulele but with a bit of punch and power. I have no idea how I want to really tune it. Right now it is standard tenor ukulele except the 4th string is an octave lower than it would be. More like a guitar 4th, 4th, 3rd, 4th. I repeat the notes an octave down on the bass strings.
I am considering different tunings. I will play around to see what I can come up with.
Bear claw spruce top,
Koa back and sides,
cocobolo with a black fiber purfling
mahogany neck.
Amboyna burl rosette and head board veneers.
In any case here it is ...
